Melissa celebrates easy and affordable healthy food that everyone can enjoy as well to brighten up your mealtimes. She began her food career as a private chef for international actors and bands, including Take That, and has written and co-written four bestselling books published internationally: The Art of Eating Well: Good + Simple: Eat Happy and Eat Green.
Melissa is a proud supporter of the food waste charity The Felix Project, and volunteers with them regularly to rescue surplus food and to cook for children and the vulnerable. She is an ambassador for Mental Health Mates, the Fairtrade Foundation and Women Supporting Women (The Princes Trust), among others.
She hosts three of her own event series: The Sustainability Sessions with speakers including Fearne Cotton, Matt Haig, and June Sarpong MBE, Cook Together Cook Alongs and The FeelGood Sessions.
The FeelGood Sessions ran for 15 Monday nights in the 2020 lockdown and hosted a huge array of guests including Anita Rani, Dr Rupy, Bryony Gordon, Candice Brathwaite, and Victoria Pendleton. The #FeelGoodSessions were a way of celebrating all that was good in the world, community, and comforting things with real stories of connection, and inspired Melissa to write this book.
